  5. HYPERVAX has been written specifically for those users who access the VAX/VMS
  6. Personal Mail Utility via a modem or the ethernet on an IBM compatible personal
  7. computer.
  8.  
  9. **Directory Instructions**
  10.  
  11. If you are running HYPERVAX on a hard disk, copy all the files into a separate
  12. directory.  Always load the HYPERVAX program from this directory. 
  13.  
  14. **Loading HYPERVAX**
  15.  
  16. At the DOS prompt (in the HYPERVAX directory), type HR to install the program 
  17. in memory. After it loads, hold the Ctrl key down and depress the Backspace (<-)
  18. key.
  19.  
  20. **Operations**
  21.  
  22. Press Ctrl-Backspace to active the program
  23. Press Arrow keys to operate the program
  24. Press F1 key for help
  25. Press ESC to terminate the program
  26. Press Alt-T to remove the program from memory while the program is on the
  27. screen.

  29. It is a memory-resident program which should be called-up before you load your
  30. communications program. Have it sit in the background until you need assistance
  31. with a VAX/VMS MAIL command. To invoke the program just hit the Control and
  32. Back-space keys then follow the directions. When you have read the topic of
  33. interest either hit the Escape key to return the program to the back-ground, or
  34. hit Alt-T to remove it from memory.

  36. **Memory-resident conflicts**
  37.  
  38. Because the HyperRez program makes no stack calls, it is unaffected by the
  39. loading sequence or memory location of other programs.
  40.  
  41. One item to remember is that HR.EXE should be unloaded from memory in the
  42. reverse order that it was installed. That means, if you load HR.EXE before you
  43. load another program, then unload it after you unload that program.

  45. Program size:        16065 bytes (HyperRez on disk)
  46. Installed size:      59680 bytes (for program, text, and links)
  47. ASCII file size:     Maximum size in 20K (set by text buffer)
  48. Maximum recall:      Remembers Right-arrow jumps 64 levels deep
